Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to antenatal, labour, postnatal, and neonatal patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and identify any clinical concerns.
- Support mothers during labour, delivery, and postnatal recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols.
- Assist with emergency obstetric and neonatal interventions when required.
- Educate mothers and families on breastfeeding, infant care, and postnatal health.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years' recent experience in a Maternity, Labour Ward, Postnatal, or Obstetric Unit.
- Current BLS certification (ACLS/NALS advantageous).
- Sound knowledge of maternal and neonatal nursing practices.
- Ability to work day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
