REGISTERED NURSES (ICU TRAINED/ICU EXP)

Key responsibilities of an ICU Registered Nurse:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-dependency patients
  • Continuously monitor and assess patients vital signs, condition, and response to treatment
  • Administer prescribed medications, intravenous therapies, and blood products accurately and safely
  • Operate and monitor specialized ICU equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and life-support systems
  • Recognize and respond promptly to medical emergencies and changes in patient conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up to date patient records and clinical documentation
  • Educate and support patients and their families regarding treatment plans, recovery and on-going care needs
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols
  • Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and quality care at all times

Skills and Requirements:

  • Registered nurse qualification and current registration with the relevant Nursing Council
  • ICU training and/or proven ICU nursing experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering high quality patient centered care
