Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid SANC registration
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a surgical/theatre role in private healthcare
- Theatre technique or operating room post-basic qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 3 year experience in private hospitals
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care across pre-, intra- and postoperative stages
- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control measures
- Monitor patient condition and vital signs throughout procedures
- Manage surgical instruments and assist with theatre setup
- Supervise and support enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants
- Participate in clinical audits and continuous quality improvement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical and stock records
- Support training and mentorship of junior team members
