- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed standards.
- Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report any changes to the attending physician.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health promotion.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, allied healthcare professionals, and support staff.
- Supervise and support enrolled nurses, nursing assistants, and students where applicable.
- Maintain professional and ethical nursing standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing (4-year Degree) or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the relevant Nursing Council (e.g., South African Nursing Council – SANC).
- Minimum of 1 year experience strongn a Medical and/or Surgical Ward is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of nursing standards, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skill
