CASE MANAGER (REGISTERED NURSE)
Location: Cintocare Hospital
Position Type: Temporary Contract
Cintocare Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Case Manager (Registered Nurse) to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating patient care, managing hospital admissions and authorisations, and ensuring effective communication between patients, medical practitioners, funders, and multidisciplinary teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Proven experience in Case Management within a hospital or healthcare environment
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of ICD-10 and CPT Coding
- Excellent clinical knowledge and understanding of healthcare funder requirements
- Strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and ability to work within healthcare information systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage patient admissions, treatment plans, and discharge processes
- Ensure accurate and compliant ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Obtain and manage medical aid authorisations and funding approvals
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, funders, patients, and families
- Monitor patient length of stay and optimise clinical and financial outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and industry regulations
